Ultimate packing list

The ULTIMATE Caribbean packing list

You have booked your trip to one of the beautiful Caribbean islands and are now in front of your empty suitcase not sure where to start and what not to forget?

We decided to help you out and create a packing list with most important things to bring on your trip.

1. MASK & SNORKEL

With the healthy shallow reefs around most of the Caribbean Islands, you will not want to leave your snorkel gear at home. If you never snorkeled beforen no problem this is the time to learn it. Pristine, warm water, breath taking shallow reefs and no waves are the best conditions to go snorkeling. Make sure to check ahead of time for some marine reserves, where the best areas are and find out about any currents.

2. MINERAL SUNSCREEN

More and more islands are banning chemical sunscreens for the sake of healthy reefs. The chemicals in regular sunscreen are harming the ocean and our skin. Make sure to put the mineral sunscreen right on your packing list to protect yourself and the oceans. Mostly mineral sunscreens will also protect you longer and be more effective.

1 drop of chemical sunscreen will kill an olympic swimming pool full of corals.

3. LIGHT... CAMERA... ACTION!

1,2 or 3 camera's? It can never be enough. Capturing your adventure or relaxed vacation will always be a good memory. We recommend you to pack a waterproof camera and a camera to capture the moments on land. Make sure to bring all the chargers and enough memory storage. Maybe even your laptop so you can edit the footage on the spot.

4. TIME TO RELAX

What is the best setting to read your favorite book you can think of?

Right! On the beach with a cocktail by your side. Don't forget to pack your favorite book or even several books. Or you can not decide which book to bring? Why not bring an e-reader and have hundreds of books with you?  Sit back and relax

5. WATERSHOES

You definitely want to bring a pair of watershoes. The Caribbean activities often include water and rocky surfaces. Think about cave tours, waterfalls and hikes through the jungle. You don't want to ruin your sneakers or slip and slide in flip flops.

6. INTERNATIONAL PLUGS

You don't want to end up without battery and not be able to book awesome activities, take a picture of that perfect moment. So make sure to bring the rigth plugs. Most islands will have 110V or 220V connections. If in doubt just bring an international adapter.
